    Zealand Falls - 2700'

This hut was built in 1932 on the edge of Zealand Falls, which flows into Zealand Pond. It sleeps 36 in two bunkrooms. The hut is open for full service from May to October and is open on caretaker basis in the winter.

The quickest summer access is via the Zealand Trail, 2.2 miles with very little elevation gain. In winter, add 3.5 miles to travel the logging road up from Rt 302. The AT runs down from South Twin, over Mt Zealand and down by Whitewall Mountain and past Zealand Notch.

Galehead Hut is 7 miles south of Zealand Falls Hut, with the Crawford Notch Hostel to the north, followed by Mizpah Springs.
